Biometric attendance software that feeds payroll live
Keep the eSSL or ZKTeco machine already on your wall. Turn on its push (ADMS) setting, point it at AiroHR, and every fingerprint or face punch it records comes into attendance by itself, ready for the month's payroll.
Your biometric machine, connected to HR and payroll
Most biometric setups in India still need someone to export punches from the machine or a PC every month. With AiroHR the machine sends each punch itself, and it lands in the same register as app and kiosk punches.
Live sync, nothing in between
The machine sends punches straight to AiroHR over the internet using its built-in Cloud Server (ADMS) setting. There is no sync software on an office computer and no file to export at month end.
Registered by serial number
HR adds each machine by its serial number. AiroHR accepts punches only from machines you registered and, when you set one, only from your office's public IP address.
See which machines are online
Each machine shows when it last called AiroHR, from which IP and its last punch, so you can tell at a glance when one has lost its internet connection.
Machine IDs matched to staff
Each punch is matched to an employee by the user ID on the machine: your own mapping first, then the employee code. IDs that match nobody are kept, and counted as soon as you link them.
In and out sorted for you
AiroHR works out whether a punch is a check-in or a check-out from the employee's shift, or follows the In / Out key pressed on the machine if your staff use it.
No double counting
Each punch is stored once even if the machine sends it again. Repeat punches within the window you choose (1 to 15 minutes) are ignored.
Paid months stay closed
Punches that fall in a month whose payroll is locked are logged but never change paid figures. Old punches from before the start date you choose are skipped.
Every punch traceable
The machine's page lists its latest punches and what happened to each one, so a "my punch is missing" question takes seconds to answer.
Mix with other methods
Biometrics in the factory, selfie with GPS for field staff and the face kiosk at branches. One company, one attendance register.
Connect a machine in four steps
Add the machine in AiroHR
Enter its name, branch and serial number, and the date from which punches should count.
Point the machine to AiroHR
On the machine open Menu, COMM., Cloud Server Setting (ADMS on some models) and enter the server details AiroHR shows you.
Link the staff IDs
Staff whose machine ID matches their employee code are linked by themselves. Link the rest once from the machine's page.
Run payroll as usual
Punches flow into the attendance register with your shift, late and overtime rules applied, and payable days reach the payroll run.
Details that matter on a shop floor
- Works over plain HTTP, the way most eSSL and ZKTeco machines talk, so older models connect too.
- Night shifts that cross midnight are paired into one working day.
- Work on a weekly off can be approved as overtime or as a comp-off day.
- Late entry, early exit and overtime follow the rules you set, the same rules payroll pays on.
- Contract and permanent staff can punch on the same machine and be paid under different structures.
What you need
- An eSSL or ZKTeco machine with the Cloud Server / ADMS option in its communication menu.
- An internet connection for the machine, by LAN cable or Wi-Fi.
- The machine's serial number, shown in its system information.
- Staff enrolled on the machine with fingerprint, face or card, as usual.
Biometric Attendance questions, answered
Which biometric machines work with AiroHR?
eSSL and ZKTeco machines that support the push protocol, shown as Cloud Server or ADMS in the machine's communication menu. If your machine has no such option, send us the model name and we will tell you whether it can connect.
Do we need to keep a computer switched on?
No. The machine sends its punches to AiroHR itself over the internet. There is no sync software to install or keep running on an office PC.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The machine keeps punches in its own memory and sends them when it connects again. AiroHR stores each punch once, so nothing is counted twice.
How are machine user IDs matched to employees?
By the mapping HR sets, otherwise by the employee code, otherwise by the number in the employee code when exactly one employee has it. Unmatched punches wait and are counted once you link the ID.
Can some staff use the mobile app or face kiosk instead?
Yes. Each attendance template has its own mode, so one company can use biometrics in one place and selfie with GPS or the face kiosk in another. All punches meet in one register.
Can a late biometric punch change a payroll we already paid?
No. Punches dated in a month whose payroll is locked are recorded in the machine's log but are not counted, so paid salaries and filed returns never change.
