Goals, appraisals, feedback and recognition in one place
Set goals with OKRs, run appraisal cycles on your own review forms, collect 360 feedback, check ratings across departments, support people who need help, and let the team thank each other in the open.
A review process people can follow
Reviews, feedback and recognition sit on the same employee records as attendance and payroll.
Goals and OKRs
Open a cycle, and employees set objectives and key results, link them to a colleague's objective and log progress. HR sees how many are achieved or at risk.
Appraisal cycles
Set up each review period and follow the reviews inside it from one screen.
Your own review forms
Build forms with text, rating, multiple choice and tick-box questions, for everyone, a department, a role or named employees.
Self-review
Employees answer your form from the portal or app. With no form, they get six standard questions.
Reviewer rating
Reviewers rate the employee in the HR portal, then finalise with an overall rating, remarks and any increment decided.
360 feedback
Ask peers, other teams and customers for feedback with five ratings and two written answers, and read the results by role.
Calibration
See how ratings spread across five bands for a cycle, department by department, so one team is not marked harder than another.
Improvement plans
Set milestones for someone who needs support, track them, and close the plan as passed or failed.
Recognition
Colleagues give badges on a shared wall, clap for each other, and see who is most appreciated on a leaderboard.
One appraisal round
Open the cycle
HR sets up the review period and chooses a review form, if you use your own.
Employees reflect
Each person completes their self-review in the portal or app.
Gather views
HR asks colleagues for 360 feedback, and they answer or decline from their own portal.
Finalise
The reviewer gives the rating and remarks, HR checks the spread in calibration, and any increment decided is recorded.
Decisions stay with people
- A finalised increment is recorded and shared, and salary changes only when HR updates the salary structure.
- Improvement plans are managed by HR and are not shown in the employee portal.
- A question can be kept from the manager, or answered only by the manager and kept from the employee.
- Closing an OKR cycle ends changes to it, and a submitted review keeps its original questions if the form is edited later.
- Recognition has a daily limit per employee, so the wall stays meaningful.
- Every review stays on the employee's record.
For employees
- Set objectives and key results and log progress, under Performance.
- Complete the self-review from the portal or app.
- Answer or decline 360 feedback requests.
- Give recognition to colleagues and see the wall.
Performance questions, answered
Can we change the self-review questions?
Yes. Build a form with your own questions, for everyone or for a department, role or named employees. If you have no form, employees get six standard questions.
How do OKRs work?
HR opens a cycle. Employees add objectives and key results, and each update moves the key result and its objective. An objective is marked achieved when its key results reach 100%.
How does calibration work?
Pick a cycle to see how many people fall in each of five rating bands, overall and by department. It shows the spread for HR to act on. It does not change anyone's rating.
Who can be asked for 360 feedback?
HR can ask peers, people from other teams and customers or clients, and can withdraw a request that is no longer needed.
Does a finished appraisal change salary?
No. The increment is recorded with the review. HR then updates the salary structure, so nothing reaches payroll without that step.
Can managers do reviews on their phone?
Reviews are completed in the HR portal, so the reviewer needs an HR login. Employees complete their self-review in the employee portal or app.
This page describes AiroHR as of October 2026. Steps done by employees need the employee portal or app on their plan.
