AiroHR vs Razorpay Payroll

Razorpay Payroll suits companies that want statutory filing and payments done for them. AiroHR suits companies that run attendance, shifts and HR in one place and file for themselves. Here is the difference.

Checked on 30 October 2026, from public pages. Prices and features change.

The short answer

Which one suits you?

Choose AiroHR if

  • You run shifts, sites or contract staff, and want attendance, payroll and HR together.
  • You want face attendance on an Android tablet, included in every plan.
  • You need contract staff by firm, duty-based pay and read-only logins for principal employers.
  • You have a small team. At 20 employees, AiroHR Professional costs about half of Razorpay's Prime plan at list price.
  • You want LWF, gratuity and a statutory bonus register in the same product. These are not on the Razorpay pages we read.
  • You want recruitment and performance with real depth. Razorpay names them only in a list of HR functions.

Choose Razorpay Payroll if

  • You want someone else to file. Razorpay says it files and pays your TDS, PF, PT and ESIC. AiroHR only prepares the files, and you upload them yourself.
  • You want tax worked out for you. In AiroHR, HR enters monthly TDS.
  • You want digitally signed Form 16. AiroHR's annexure is an unsigned PDF in the Form 16 layout.
  • You are a startup that pays contractors and already uses Razorpay. Razorpay says it files the TDS on contractor payments too.
  • You want benefits through partners, such as group health insurance and earned salary access.
  • You want a larger company behind the product. Razorpay says 10,000+ companies use its payroll. AiroHR is much newer and smaller.

FAQ

Common questions

Does AiroHR file PF and TDS for me like Razorpay Payroll?

No. AiroHR prepares the ECR file, ESIC data and other files, and your company uploads and files them on the government portals. Razorpay says it files and pays TDS, PF, PT and ESIC for you. If you want that service, Razorpay is the better fit.

Is AiroHR cheaper than Razorpay Payroll?

At list price, yes at the sizes in our table: at 20 employees AiroHR Professional is ₹90 per employee a month, against Razorpay Prime's ₹3,499 for the team. But Razorpay's price includes its filing service, so you are not comparing the same thing.

Does Razorpay Payroll have attendance?

Its pages mention attendance through the website, biometric devices or APIs, and partners such as Ubitech and Jibble. Face or selfie punch is not on the pages we read.

Does AiroHR pay salaries directly?

AiroHR prepares salary bulk-upload files for 10 Indian banks, plus a generic NEFT or RTGS file. Payout links are available on request.

How was this comparison made?

We read Razorpay's payroll, pricing, enterprise, leave and HR pages on 30 October 2026. Its plan table is partly in images, so we have not said which plan includes which feature. Anything the pages do not mention is marked as not on the pages we read.
